ZgeneBio Co. was established in 2007 and mainly provide the service on molecular biology. In these years, the zebrafish have become a new model animal in modern scientific research, especially in research of the genomics and translational medicine. Therefore, ZgeneBio have developed many products for embryology research, and dedicated to the development of gene manipulation, and microinjector for oocyte of zebrafish, drosophila, nematode and mice. The first digital pico liter pump microinjector is developed successfully in 2011, and having a better performance with good price. To provide a best quality to customer, we have improved design of injector continually. The latest micrinjector we developed is easier to use and repair, and also with a lower price than other competitor. Our products are highly estimated among our customers all over the world.
Since 2011, we cooperated with Industrial Technology Research Institute to develop the ”Stable functional cell fabrication technique”, which can provide the stable and high-grade competent cells for the researchers in Taiwan. Besides the improvement of the research and development skill, we also want to promote the quality of the products and provide better service for the researchers in Taiwan. After the establishment of business in Taiwan, our next goal is to develop the overseas market, and then gaining international competitiveness from business in global market.
ZgeneBio maintain a good relationship with the embryologists in Taiwan, and listen carefully to the clients’ advice. Therefore, we know what the scientists need, and believe that the better and more convenient products we provide, the more competitiveness we get. On August in 2011, TALEN was first published in Nature Biotechnology. We could use TALEN for the modification for genome, and generate knockout animals and plants. In addition, TALEN was chosen as the representative research in 2011 by Nature Methods. We have committed lots of resources on the TALEN fast assembly kits since November in 2011 because of the importance and novelty of TALEN. In the June of same year, we started to provide the TALEN fast assembly kits. ZgeneBio is the only independent company that can provide TALEN vector construction services in Taiwan, and our service is cheaper and faster than that of other foreign companies. Our product line is set in Taiwan as a base station, and exporting the product to all of the world. After the publication of CRISPR/Cas9 technology for knockout gene, we provided the products of CRISPR/Cas9 one step further, and the product line was also established immediately in 2013. Furthermore, we could provide the gene knockout zebrafish and the cell lines now.
The purpose of ZgeneBio Co. is to provide the best products and service for the researchers in Taiwan at first. Therefore, we emphasize not only the distinctness of the products, but also accord with the demands of the markets. Later, we’ll try to expand the way of production and marketing, and make the mutual benefits for both the company and researchers. Becoming an international biotechnology company with good commercial credit and rich market experience is ZgeneBio’s ultimate goal. We will cooperate with the business partner and open up international markets. In the near future, we believe that ZgeneBio Co. will become a high-profit company.
