Our HistoryFounded in 1967, WPI began as a small manufacturer of amplifiers and stimulators used in nerve, skin and muscle research. We opened branch offices in Germany and the UK, and in 2009 in mainland China. In 2010, we acquired Scientific Instruments-Heidelberg, the leading provider of muscle physiology research equipment. Now, the complete line of muscle physiology equipment, including the single Cell Tester, are engineered and manufactured in Sarasota, FL.
